Los Angeles, CA – The Palisades Fire, the most destructive wildfire in Los Angeles history, has left an indelible mark on the city. Nearly 20,000 acres have been ravaged, over 5,000 homes destroyed, and 180,000 residents displaced. In this time of unprecedented tragedy, Go Dharmic, a global humanitarian organization, is demonstrating what dharma and compassion in action truly means.
The Go Dharmic team is on the ground, working tirelessly to assist those affected by the disaster. In close collaboration with first responders and local organizations, they are delivering vital humanitarian aid. A key part of their efforts includes providing victims with nourishing food, including freshly prepared hot meals, ensuring no one goes hungry during this critical time.
Together with partners such as The Vegan Joint, a local restaurant that has stepped forward to donate meals, Go Dharmic has set up a food distribution table outside one of the major evacuation centres. Volunteers are serving hot, nutritious meals to displaced residents, ensuring that no one goes hungry during this crisis.
“During times of crisis, it is essential to act with compassion. Our team is committed to being present where help is needed most,” said Hanuman Dass, the founder of Go Dharmic. “The resilience of the Los Angeles community inspires us, and we are honoured to support them as they navigate this challenging time.”
Go Dharmic has a longstanding history of disaster relief efforts around the globe, embodying its mission of spreading compassion and relief during the Ukraine crisis, the Nepal earthquake, and countless other disasters. Our team in Los Angeles is standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the victims of the Palisades Fire.
