Hasika. While expressing their gratitude for the invitation to the wedding ceremony held in Hyderabad on March 2, 2025, they regretted their inability to attend due to unavoidable circumstances. However, they extended their warmest congratulations messages and best wishes to the newlyweds for a happy and prosperous married life. The distinguished dignitaries who extended their wishes include the Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Shri S. Abdul Nazeer, the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, the Hon’ble Governor of Nagaland, Shri La Ganesan, the Hon’ble Governor of Goa, Shri P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Mizoram, Shri Lalduhoma, and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Rajnikant Patel. Recognizing Dr. Kadavendi Venugopal’s immense contributions as a social activist and environmental crusader, the dignitaries praised his unwavering commitment to protecting nature. They commended his eco-friendly wedding arrangements, which were free from plastic, featuring sustainable décor, jute bags, and plant distributions to guests, thereby promoting environmental consciousness. 

Dr. Kadavendi Venugopal received official letters by post from esteemed Chief Ministers and Governors, sent from their respective CMO and Rajbhavan offices. Dr. Kadavendi Venugopal, widely recognized as the “Anti-Plastic Man of Khammam,” has dedicated his life to environmental protection and social activism. Despite undergoing heart surgery, he remains steadfast in his fight against plastic pollution and actively promotes sustainable living. His commitment to eco-friendly practices was evident in his son’s wedding, mirroring the principles he upheld during his daughter’s marriage six years ago. His relentless efforts to eliminate single-use plastics and advocate for a greener future have earned him the prestigious Paryavarana Mithra Jathiya Award from the Andhra Pradesh State Biodiversity Board. His grassroots campaigns have mobilized communities to embrace sustainable alternatives, making a significant impact on environmental conservation.

Born into an agricultural family in Patha Lingala village, Khammam District, Dr. Venugopal was deeply influenced by his father, Shri Kadavendi Chakrapani Guptha. His early life experiences instilled in him a passion for serving the underprivileged and marginalized communities. Over the years, he has worked tirelessly to address pressing social and environmental challenges, earning widespread respect and recognition. His advocacy efforts gained national prominence when he addressed the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan seminar in the presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Vice President Shri Venkaiah Naidu. His impactful work has also brought him into direct interaction with prominent national leaders, further amplifying his influence in the environmental movement. Beyond his environmental initiatives, Dr. Venugopal has made substantial contributions to education and social welfare. His generous donation of two acres of land for the construction of Kasturba School in his native village underscores his dedication to community development. His unwavering commitment to sustainability and service has set a remarkable example for future generations.
