Shahbaz’s creative journey began in childhood, when a teacher first introduced him to the fundamentals of drawing and painting. Although he initially pursued a conventional career, his passion for art never faded. Years later, driven by an unwavering desire to follow his true calling, he enrolled at the prestigious Sir J. J. School of Art in Mumbai. Completing the course allowed him to refine his technique and develop a distinctive artistic voice. His paintings—often characterized by gestural movement and layered textures—reveal an ongoing dialogue between instinct and intention. Bold hues, subtle gradients, and evolving patterns transform each work into a vivid extension of his inner thoughts and emotional states.
At the core of Shahbaz’s work are the triangle, square, and circle—elemental shapes that recur throughout his compositions. These forms echo the earliest ways humans learn to understand the world.
