21 August 2026, New Delhi: Following the success of a vibrant opening day, Rajnigandha Presents Jagran Film Festival is back with an exciting second day of cinema, conversations, tributes and diverse storytelling at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. Building on the momentum of Day 1, the 14th edition continues to bring together celebrated names from the world of cinema alongside stories that spark conversations and offer audiences a deeper look into the craft and culture of filmmaking.
Day two at Venue: Bhim opens with a special JFF Junior screening of Taare Zameen Par, offering young audiences an opportunity to revisit the much-loved story of childhood, individuality and learning. The festival will then host a Session for the Specially Abled, further reinforcing its commitment to creating an inclusive and accessible cinematic space.
Turning the spotlight to the evolving landscape of the film industry, the festival will host “Women in Film: Shaping India’s Changing Cinema Landscape,” featuring a panel discussion with Aparna Purohit, Sheeba Chadha and Shobha Sant. The conversation will explore the changing roles, opportunities and influence of women across India’s cinematic ecosystem.

The day will also celebrate the legacy of one of Indian cinema’s most beloved performers with a Heritage Conversation with Moushumi Chatterjee, followed by an Asha Bhosle Tribute by Amruta Kolatkar, paying homage to the legendary voice that has shaped generations of Indian music and cinema.
Adding an international dimension to the day’s programming, “From Desi Streets to Oscar-Casting India for the World” will feature Tess Joseph who is a renowned casting director, offering insights into India’s growing presence on the global cinematic stage and the changing dynamics of casting for international productions.
The evening will continue with a selection of compelling stories, beginning with the Shorts Showcase featuring The Tale of Katha, followed by the screening of Saathiya, bringing the day to a close with a celebration of Indian storytelling and the enduring power of cinema.
With a compelling mix of inclusive programming, industry conversations, heritage tributes, international perspectives and diverse cinematic narratives, Day 2 of Rajnigandha Presents Jagran Film Festival builds on the energy of its opening day, promising audiences yet another immersive celebration of the art of storytelling.
