Meerut: A grand religious and felicitation ceremony was organized at Vardhman Academy, Railway Road, Meerut, in the revered presence of Param Pujya Acharya 108 Shri Saurabh Sagar Ji Maharaj. The event was graced by Hon’ble Shri Asim Arun Ji, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Social Welfare and Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Government of Uttar Pradesh, as the Chief Guest.
The office-bearers of Jain Mandir, Railway Road, and the Temple Committee accorded a warm and cordial welcome to Shri Asim Arun Ji. President Shri Suresh Chandra Jain ‘Rituraj’ Ji delivered the welcome address and expressed his appreciation for the Chief Guest’s presence at the auspicious gathering.
The arrival of Param Pujya Acharya 108 Shri Saurabh Sagar Ji Maharaj on the stage was greeted with devotional chants, filling the entire venue with an atmosphere of spiritual fervour. A ceremonial lamp was lit and aarti was performed at the revered feet of Gurudev.
Addressing the religious gathering, Acharya Shri Saurabh Sagar Ji Maharaj blessed the devotees with his inspiring and spiritual discourse, encouraging them to follow the path of righteousness, religious values, compassion, and dedicated service to society.
During the ceremony, Shri Asim Arun Ji was formally felicitated by the Jain community and the Jain Boarding House Society in the sacred presence of Acharya Shri Saurabh Sagar Ji Maharaj. He was presented with a shawl and a memento, along with a formal letter of appreciation, in recognition of his public service and commitment to social welfare.
The gathering warmly appreciated Shri Asim Arun Ji for his efficient working style, administrative acumen, visionary approach, and dedication to public service. Members of the Jain community extended their best wishes for his good health, longevity, and continued success in public life.
In his address, Hon’ble Minister Shri Asim Arun Ji expressed his gratitude to the Jain community and paid his respects to Acharya Shri Saurabh Sagar Ji Maharaj by offering a shrifal and seeking his blessings. He reiterated his commitment to remaining dedicated to initiatives aimed at social welfare and public service.
He also appreciated the Jain community’s commitment to the principles of non-violence, compassion, social responsibility, and ethical living, noting its valuable contribution to society.
Speaking highly of the Jain community, Shri Asim Arun Ji said:
“The Jain community has always been a symbol of non-violence, compassion, sacrifice, and high moral values. Its contribution to social welfare, education, healthcare, philanthropy, and humanitarian service is both remarkable and exemplary.”
Expressing his deep regard for the Jain community, Shri Asim Arun Ji further stated:

I assure you that I will always stand shoulder to shoulder with the Jain community in every public-interest initiative, social development effort, and welfare-oriented activity. I will continue to extend my sincere support and cooperation towards initiatives dedicated to the welfare of society.”
The ceremony was attended by President Shri Suresh Chandra Jain ‘Rituraj’ Ji, Shri Surendra Jain, Shri Yogesh Jain, Network 10 News Channel Director Shri Neeraj Jain, along with members of the committee and a large number of distinguished members of the Jain community.
The event concluded in an atmosphere of devotion, mutual respect, and a renewed commitment to social welfare and community service.
